Viral video: Man eats chicken inside ISKCON restaurant in London, sparks outrage (Image Source: Social Media )
A video showing a man eating fried chicken inside a vegetarian ISKCON restaurant in London has gone viral, leading to widespread criticism and concern on social media.
The footage shows a man, believed to be of African-British origin, walking into Govinda — a vegetarian restaurant operated by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). In the video, he asks the staff if the restaurant serves meat. When informed that no meat, onions, or garlic are used, he proceeds to take out a bucket of fried chicken from KFC and begins eating it at one of the tables.
He is seen confirming again that the restaurant serves no meat, then opens the container and eats the chicken openly. He even offers some to the staff and other customers present.
One of the diners quickly confronts him, saying, "Excuse me, what you are doing is against the rules here and not acceptable." Despite this, the man continues to behave disruptively. Eventually, the restaurant staff calls security, and he is escorted out.
The video has led to strong reactions online, with many calling the act disrespectful to Hindu values and the sanctity of the place. Some users raised questions about whether the act was intended as a religious insult. One commenter wrote, "This is clearly hate towards Hindus. He wouldn’t have done this elsewhere." Another said, "Bringing non-vegetarian food into a restaurant is already wrong. Doing it in an ISKCON center is even more offensive.
As of now, the date and authenticity of the video have not been officially verified. More updates will be shared if new details become available.
